ATV Program

In the summer of 2016 Resica Falls premiered its newest and most exciting program area: the ATV course! Presented through a partnership between the Boy Scouts of America and Polaris Industries Inc., Scouts can spend a week learning the fundamentals of riding under the supervision of an ATV Safety Institute-certified instructor. For the 2021 season, we’re changing how we offer our ATV program, and are offering two different experiences.

Junior ATV Program

Offered during two afternoon, double-period sessions: 2:00pm-3:15pm and 3:30pm-4:45pm. Scouts participating in this program must be at least 14 years of age or older. Each session is limited to 6 Scouts, and there is a 215 lb weight limit on the ATVs. Those participating must complete an online blended-learning course found at atvsafety.org/atv-ecourse. The course will take approx. 2 hours to complete. Scouts must bring a certificate of completion for this online course, a current BSA Annual Health & Medical Record, and an ATV Participation and Hold-Harmless Agreement signed by their parent or guardian. The program costs an additional $25 beyond the normal summer camp fee. Scouts who successfully complete the program will receive a patch, certificate, and an ATV RiderCourse™ certification card from the ATV Safety Institute.

Senior ATV Program

Offered during two morning, single-period sessions: 9:00am-9:45am and 10:00am-10:45am. Scouts participating in this program must be at least 16 years of age or older. Each session is limited to 8 Scouts, and there is a 215 lb weight limit on the ATVs.
