SEEK

Introduced in 2021, the SEEK program is focused on preparing the next generation of leaders. SEEK replaces our traditional CIT program with a three week program designed around targeted skill development and personal growth. Scouts ages 15 and 16 will work with our dedicated staff to hone the skills needed to be a great leader, both in camp and in their units.

SEEK was designed with 4 goals in mind:

1. Develop and foster the core traits of strong leadership and character.
2. Identify areas of personal growth in and outside of Scouting.
3. Provide hands-on opportunities to practice skill instruction in a summer camp environment.
4. Provide a fun and meaningful program for more experienced Scouts looking for their next adventure.

To accomplish this, Resica Falls is taking all the steps necessary to make this a top-notch program! The SEEK program will have its own staff, live in it’s own campsite, and will have its own program specific uniforms, trips, and activities.

Each of the 3 weeks has both trainings and activities centered around a theme:

• Week 1 - Connecting for Growth
• Week 2 - Leading and Learning
• Week 3 - Action and Adventure

Care has been taken to provide a balance of both work and play over this extended period. One day SEEK participants might be shadowing an area director and the next day camping out at Lake Roger!
